Catalyst Converter Support Mat (Mount Mat) Product Introduce

Product Genral Information

Catalyst Converter Support Mat are used in catalyst converter for engine exhaust after-treatment system.

It is wrapped around the ceramic substrate(monolith) and inserted into the shell to keep the cerramic substrate(monolith) fixed in the catalyst converter.


The Catalyst Converter Support Mat provide mechanical support, sealing, protection, thermal and sound insulation or other functions for the catalytic converter.

With different percent of vermiculite and ceramic fiber, we have five different type, Honmat500/502, Honmat600/602, and Honmat1000.

Honmat500/502 are micro-intumescent Substrate Support Mat, Honmat 600/602 and Honmat1000 are No-Intumescent Substrate Support Mat.

HONMAT 600/602 PCW (Mitsubishi polycrystalline wool fiber) non-intumescent mat with excellent thermal stability, ideal chemicalstability, excellent aging performance and erosion resistanceproperties provide powerful design for exhaust emission controlapplications including substrate mat mount for both light-dutyand commercial vehicle. 

HONMAT 600/602 not be affected in fuelcondensate, water or urea no matter how longtime, the operableinlet gas temperature even up to 1150 ℃

HONMAT 1000 Non-Intumescent Mat(RCF) is made of newgeneration of modified refractory ceramic fiber, which canprovide the long-term stable and reliable physical holding forceto various of monolith.HONMAT 1000 meet the emission control requirements of avariety of vehicles and provide nice holding force from lowtemperature to high temperature (1050°C) as well asexcellenterosion performance and aging properties.
